SALARY: R325 101 – R382 959 per annum (Level 07) The successful candidate will be required to sign a performance agreement.
CENTRE: Land Court – Randburg (Gauteng) Number of Posts: 2 Permanent Positions
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- An LLB degree OR a minimum of 20 modules completed towards an LLB, BA Law, or BCom Law qualification
- Minimum 2 years’ secretarial or office administration experience in a legal / judicial environment
- Valid driver’s licence
- Excellent typing speed – Shortlisted candidates will be required to pass a practical typing test (including Dictaphone typing)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Knowledge of Court Online system highly advantageous

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide dedicated secretarial and administrative support directly to the Judge / Deputy Judge President
- Type, edit and format draft judgments, memoranda, opinions, orders and legal correspondence
- Manage the Judge’s diary – arrange court rolls, meetings, travel and accommodation
- Liaise with Registrar, attorneys, advocates and stakeholders
- Maintain and update physical and electronic court files and chamber documents
- Upload signed judgments and orders to CaseLines / Court Online
- Prepare bench books and ensure all court files are ready before hearings
- Administer oaths and affirmations in court when required
- Handle criminal and civil court exhibits professionally
- Manage vehicle logbooks, S&T claims, cell phone & 3G claims
- Update reserved judgment registers and notify relevant offices when judgments are delivered
- Provide full support in opposed motions, urgent applications, criminal trials and review matters
