What the Internship Is About
- Flagship SARS programme to build the next generation of tax, customs, audit, data analytics, and digital transformation specialists.
- Structured rotation across three business units (8 months in Audit & Risk, 8 months in Customs Modernisation, 8 months in Data Science & AI).
- Every intern gets a professional mentor (CA(SA), CISA, admitted attorney, or senior data scientist) plus formal training towards certifications (A+, Tax Practitioner prep, Microsoft Power BI, etc.).
- High absorption rate – over 70% of 2024/25 interns were retained on permanent contracts.
Eligibility / Requirements
- South African citizen (valid green bar-coded ID or smart card)
- Age 35 or younger on 1 April 2026
- Completed qualification (no results pending) at NQF 7–9:
- Bachelor’s degree / Advanced Diploma / Honours in: Taxation, Accounting, Auditing, Finance, Law, LLB, Economics, Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Quantity Surveying, Supply Chain, or Logistics
- Minimum overall average of 65% in final year
- No previous full-time work experience longer than 12 months
- People with disabilities and previously disadvantaged individuals strongly encouraged

2. Nedbank CA(SA) Graduate Trainee Programme 2026

What the Internship Is About
- Hands-on technical and engineering training across Transnet Port Terminals, Transnet Freight Rail, and Transnet Pipelines.
- Disciplines: Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering, Marine Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain.
- Includes professional registration support (ECSA candidate phase).

- South African citizen
- Age 18–35
- Completed BEng / BTech / Advanced Diploma (NQF 7) in the above fields
- Willing to relocate and work shifts/rosters
